does Saba offer pre med ?

No, Saba does not offer Pre-Med. MUA in Nevis does and we have a few students here who did Pre-Med in Nevis and then came to Saba.

I thought Saba offered Premed.
I applied to Saba University, I’m in the interview process.
I have NOT done MCAT, i have done a bunch of science courses in uni, but am missing Organic Chem and Physics prerequisites courses.

The sister school, MUA, offers it. Several people have taken the pre-med courses then transfer to Saba.

I understand MUA offers it. Since I already applied to Saba University, (in the interview process) would they just transfer me to MUA first then allow me to go to Saba?

I read through the Saba website which stated:

"Premedical studies should include the following courses:
General biology or zoology One academic year. Inorganic chemistry (with lab) One academic year. Organic chemistry (with lab) One academic year. Physics (recommended) One academic year. English One academic year. Other A broad background in humanities, social sciences or physical sciences and computer skills."

I have an extensive science background but I did not take organic chem and physics. So I guess its okay not having ALL the prerequisites
thats why Saba contacted me for an interview?

I also read on Saba's FAQ section:


Q.Can I apply if I have not completed all the requirements?

A. Students who lack a course or two may still apply. However, acceptance to the program may be provisional pending successful completion of the required pre-med courses. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a degree.
