For some reason, people always assume I am male! I don't get it :P

I wouldn't suggest buying a BRS for every course. I think Anatomy. Personally, I only used BRS for Anatomy and for Physiology. That is not to say that they wouldn't be helpful, but I think there are better books for other subjects. You'll get an idea about what books you need once you've talked with upper semester students.

I haven't applied to SABA yet, but it may sound silly but I need a place where I can work out on a regular basis. I need my break for the day.

Thanks!
The gyms dumbbells go up to 45 lbs...then there is a lone set of 80 lbs. Yeah...random. I used the barbell for almost all my exercises, there is a power cage, a benchpress setup, two free benches for dumbbels or for use in the power cage. For cardio there are 3 treadmills, 2 bikes, an elliptical, and a stairclimber. There is also a heavy and speed bag altho they fell apart at the end of last semester so no promises, and finally there is a weird hammer strength multi machine in a corner with a squatcalves , shoulder, bench press, preacher curl, and pull down setup that all work together. All in all its pretty crappy but with enough creativity you can attain the same diesel results many.....err, few have achieved before you, mainly me.

I don't know about Canada, but when I was going to Saba the police clearance letter was free! ( I lived in Miami, FL) Just go to your local police dept and ask them to give you a copy. At the most it should'nt be more than a couple bucks.

it cost me $50. Its free if you applying for something that requires you to be in contact w/ ppl (nurse). Med school should count towards that right?

Does anyone know how strict they are on having the police clearance within 3 months of when you start at SABA?

I'd like to get it done as soon as possible, however it looks like I'll have to wait until June to have it done within three months of my start date in September.

Ahh.. my first post in 1 year. What darkmansaad says about creativity at the school gym is on the money; however, you do have an alternative. A locally owned gym in Windwardside (need a car to get there from the school) called Flex Mountain Gym is quite adequate. I'm not talking about high-tech equipment here, but merely a resemblance of what your old highschool weight room would look like (i.e. no cardio equipment and all iron).

Dumbells go up to 100lbs and you have the basic bench, smith machine, lat pulls, etc. There is enough equipment and weights in the gym to satisfy a semi-professional bodybuilder.

I stayed with the school gym for the first two semesters, but migrated over to the big boy gym. I enjoyed my time there and I must say that I will miss it when I leave for good this next week.

Do bring protein powder to satisfy your needs until your next break because shipping is expensive.

Very nice post!

A quick heads up regarding external drives. Some of the new 'compact' external drives are coming with short cables now which keeps your cable sprawl down a bit. It's a nice feature.

Do be aware however that the short cable can easily lead to your accidentally dragging the drive off of a table and onto the floor if you move your laptop around. I've personally seen 4 total data-loss situations in the last 2 or 3 months due to this happening.

Again, the short cables are nice, just be careful!
