thanks for the advice. i have read the entire thread. i have gathered a lot of valuable information. although i am very excited about getting an interview, the knowledge in this thread has made me more comfortable with what they will ask and how i should compose myself when answering. pretty much, just be myself.

Has anyone applying for January 2009 had their interview yet? I think they are currently trying to get all semesters previous to 09 interviewed. If someone applying for Jan 09 has already interviewed, please let me know how it went. Also, if you have already applied for Jan 09, what was your reason for applying then? Not finished with undergrad until then? Just curious.

I have an interview on the 14th of Feb, im sooooo nervous.... freaking out abt if ill make it in or not.... any advice will be great.... do they ask any wierd questions.... and anything particular about the application, i know they do about the personal statement..... any help will be great..... thanks

hi everyone! i just got a mail from Saba and they said this
"Our admissions committee has reviewed your application and would like to schedule a telephone interview. Please call our office to choose a date and time."
sounds cool.
I would love to call them immediately, would they pick up the phone on saturday?

They are only open monday to friday. I think you will have to wait till Monday. I know the feeling but just have some patience.

Called them this morning and my interview is scheduled for 10am March 7th. They seem to be doing lot of interviews.

articulate. good luck. i have an interview the 26th of this month with saba. i cannot wait. i was to have three interviews with other schools this past week, but i had to cancel and reschedule because i had the flu for three weeks. it was a bummer because i really want to use the other schools as preparation for interviewing with saba. please post back once you have your interview and let us all know how it goes with saba. i will surely do the same once i have mine. i cannot wait another 2 weeks!!!!!! i want to know their decision so bad.

Ohhh man, u sound just like me a couple months back. With that kind of enthusiasm, i"m sure you'll do all the required research and prep before conducting the interview. I wish you all the best.

thank you for wishing me luck. i wish you and everyone else the best with their chances too. sorry i have not posted in awhile. trying to finish up school here in louisiana and have a lot of tests. my interview is tuesday morning at 9 am. this weekend is a saba cram session. it shouldnt be too bad though. i visited the island during this past december and saw all i could of the island, the school, snorkeling and scuba, etc etc etc. it is one cool island. very eye catching. the school is the nicest i saw of any med school in the carribean. didnt see sgu, but saw most of the other more well respected schools.

so i have my interview in a couple of weeks
and i was wondering what answer do interviewers like to hear in response to
"why do u wana be a doctor?"
