How to SEARCH the SABA forum.
Hello all
I thought it might be a good idea to make a sticky with instructions on how to search this forum. Many newbies seem to stumble into the forum and, in their enthusiasm, ask the same questions over and over. Many seem to miss the search function entirely or use the search function just for clinicals. Please add anything that is missing or unclear. How to search the SABA forum.... 1. Go to the thick blue heading of the second section entitled "Threads in Forum : Saba University School of Medicine". 2. In that heading, on the very right, is a link that says "Search this forum" with a small arrow. 3. Click there! 4. It will open and you can search for key words. 5. Enjoy. R/ |

I agree Experienced. That is why I thought if we had the instructions 'stickied' it would be easy to refer them to the search function. (And possibly have them find it on their own before asking??)
And I really enjoy having RDec. and Wolf. here answering questions. It makes me feel like I don't have to help as often. LOL. R/ |

Also I find the search function kind of hidden. I think it is easy to mistake the search link in the clinical section for searching the whole forum. I can understand how people search only the clinical spots and then can't find the answer they are looking for.
Oh powers that be in ValueMD! Can you make one search button to look in both the clinical and general forum information?? And can you make that button easily visible? I even find the darker blue headings hard to differentiate from the rest.... Thanks for listening! R/ |

Your criticism is well taken, Experienced. I am sure you meant no offense. I have posted the same observation many times and have often encouraged people to use the search function over the last 5 years I have been a member of ValueMD and it's predecessor.
Please do not use names of persons without their express permission, it is against the Terms of Service of ValueMD. Instead please always refer to a users username instead. Although you may know an individual personally and be on good terms, users may not wish their identity to be broadcast to the entire world via the internet. You would might be very suprised at how many people of all walks of life read this forum.
