Class materials, notes, and supplies!

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had advice on what sort of class materials to bring? A bit of elaboration even on your personal preference would be appreciated.

These are some things I am wondering...

1. Are all class notes available online to students? And if so, is it up to each student to print a copy for their own use, or are they given out in the class?
2. Do you find that you use notebook binders to organize your notes?
3. Do you bring your computer to class and take notes with that?
4. Should I bring most of my class materials with me to the island, or are they available for purcahse and reasonably priced there?
5. Do you find that you use a lot of a certain supply? ie: notebook paper, colored pencils, highlighters, index cards, etc?

I know that we all have different methods of studying and note taking and whatnot. But at this point, anyone's input, ideas, suggestions, etc, would be great

Thanks!

HEy, I'm a fifth semester student and here's what I did:

1. as far as I know, the notes are not available online, maybe that's something they can do in the future?
2. I typed all my notes and printed them ( a printer and a laptop are a must have)
3. NOTHING is reasonably priced on the island, you just have to weigh your options. Do you want to pay $2 extra for a notebook or would you rather pay extra for over wieght lugage??
4. things are available on the island- IE pens, notebooks etc. THey are just not always available. As far as what I used to study, like I said, I typed notes and printed them. The classes are given in powerpoint presentations, so some people just go thru them several times.
5. Try to read the books the instructor tells u too.. I felt that was a good way to pull everything together and to be prepared for classes in advanced. The sylabus (s?) should have all the assigned readings. Read it b4 class !!

GOOD LUCK, hope that helped a little
