campus gym

Hi guys,
i looked at the old posts about the campus gym. But, the info is outdated.
Can anyone please fill me in on the cost of the campus gym and if it has basic cardio + weights for general fitness stuff. also, since i hear that it's small, is there a long line waiting for cardio machines?

thanks !!

When I visited the island/school in January I got a tour of the gym. It is very small, but I think it will be adequate for me. "Adequate" is VERY subjective. There are a couple of benches, a squat rack, dumbbells, a couple of treadmills and an elliptical trainer. [all based on my recollection - not an exact inventory]

The campus gym is free for students and faculty. I guess that means if you have a significant other, he/she will have to workout in windwardside if they want a gym.

I've heard that there are busy times at the gym, but there should be times when you can get in there without a wait.

It's not free, it's $50/semester.

what about basketball?

I remember seeing some old threads about students playing a weekly game (tuesdays?) of basketball at a local school. Is that still happening? Shooting some hoops helps me to relieve stress.

Plus world class diving.

Is the skating in-line or ice? I would find it hard to believe there is an ice rink on the island. Maybe I will not be selling my skates (both types) at the garage sale. I keep getting surprised by Saba.

I think it's in-line (or field). Not ice, thats for sure.
