Clinical spots in New York and California

Can any upper termers tell me how difficult it is to get a clinical spot in New York or California? I can understand how it could be in California because of the recent acceptance. Has anyone had difficulties?

One student is doing clinicals in Cali right now that he set up HIMSELF. The school currently has NO clinical spots in Cali set up but IS working on it. I don't know anything about NY.

rotations

Hey, Val
So Saba offers clinicals in Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, and Chicago. Does everybody end up going to Jackson Park? After looking over that hospital I'm not too excited about it....Kansas looks good, though.
(Of course, a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do to get the MD, )
Saba also offers clinicals in NY, correct? Does Saba have anything in the south?
Also, do you know anyone who has done rotations in the UK? I would like to do cores over there, if possible.

LOL

Yes, we offer all the hospital sites listed on the SABA webpage at www.saba.edu
I have heard wonderful things about the Kansas City rotations, the Baltimore rotations, the Florida Surgery rotation that we have, and the Houma Louisiana rotations. I know for a fact that all of those rotations are excellent (friends from upper semesters are there)!!! The rest I do not know about and I could only speculate about them from stories that have not been confirmed (I don't want to lie to you here, so I won't say anything that I am not sure of). As for rotations in the South, NO. The only thing we got is Louisiana. We also have a surgery rotation in florida. OH, and we have a psych rotation in Cherry Hill North Carolina. Thats it in the south. As for NY, we do have some, but I am not interested in NY so, I have no idea what we got there, and I actually don't know anyone who has even gone there for clinicals.
The rotations in the UK thing.... hmmm... I know of 2 people from our semester who were promised to goto Ireland for rotations but they won't be there until March I think, so I can't say anything about that rotation either, and I am not sure that we have anything in England (you would have to contact the clinical department). Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Val
P.S. Feel free to ask me more questions
