(I posted this here because I could not post in the clinicals forum for some reason) Anyone have any information on this surgery rotation? Books suggested? Any housing advice? Thanks!

Is this a new site for Saba? Has anyone rotated there?

I am doing surgery here right now. I am very impressed with this rotation. There is only one Saba student accepted per rotation, and you rotate with 5-7 Ross students and 2 Boston University students. This is not a new rotation. So far it has been a great experience. The hospital is amazing, the residents (BU) are top notch, you get lots of OR time and actively participate in surgeries. The only drawback is the hours, but every surgery rotation has long hours (typical day 4:15am-7pm), call is q6 or so. If you want to do surgery or anesthesia I would definitely suggest this site. The only drawback is there is not much lecture time. I know in Waterbury they received a full day of lecture. But all in all a very good rotation.
