Has anyone worked with *, MD, a general surgeon at St. Luke? My preceptor in general surgery in Maine knows him and is asking about him.

Hey there! Long time no talk! How is everything?
I have done pretty much everything at St. Luke's and have spent a lot of time in surgery so I know all of the guys fairly well. Don't know who you are talking about since it was * out but you can email me at
bddewing@hotmail.com

Hope all is well.

Hey G,
I didn't do Psych at the VA (I did it at Cherry) but I did do Neurology there and I actually spent quite a bit of time on the psych floor during my rotation. From what I saw and what I hear from other students it's a fine rotation. I did all of my other rotations at St. Luke's so the hardest thing about the VA was getting used to the computer system, but a couple days on it and you'll be fine.

I heard that there are a lot of SABA students at Kansas City. How many students do they take from SABA? Thanks in advance.

GFLIP,
I honestly don't know the numbers, but I know there are a TON of us here. People I didn't even remember from the island (they were in 1st semester when I was in 5th - and you all know you never see the 5th semesters) are arriving. I heard for a while there were so many they were sending people to the VA for a bit - not sure how that worked. But yes, there are a LOT of us. We're taking over KC. At least that's what I like to tell people...

IM at St. Lukes

So I'm getting ready to start IM at St. Lukes. They divide up their IM rotations into two groups - purple, which has a third month that emphasizes nephrology, and orange, which emphasizes infectious disease during the last few weeks.
My question is to anybody who has already done IM at St. Luke's:
What's the difference? Do you recommend one over the other?

Thanks.
