To my knowledge, there is no any significant international contest in the field of medicine for international students. Therefore, it is difficult to get OBJECTIVE comparison of medical education in various countries.
However, in some other fields of human activities (where it is easier to evaluate the students' knowledge) the contests take place annually. In April - May, at least 4 international contests was organised and everyone was won by students of Russian universities:
- ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (1-st place and 4 teams among top 12, out of more than 1000 teams participated from all the continents)
- NASA Great moonbuggy race» held at Marshal Space Flight Center, Alabama (about 80 teams from aerospace schools worldwide)
- White & Case International Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (held in Washington, D.C., 1-st place against over 600 law schools from 78 countries)
- Queen’s Music Contest in Brussel (Gran-Pree)
Surely, noone has direct relation to Medicine (but may reflect general level of education in the country). So, ... let know your class mates who dream to be a good engineer, lawer, musician, and IT specialist that there is a place where it may be done
