i'm starting to shop for things i'll need for school this may. according to the welcome packet, appropriate apparels for church services in dominica for females are cotton dresses. can someone tell me if it's ok for the cotton dresses to be sleeveless? I don't want to dress inappropriately.

While the welcome packet may not make this clear, there are several options as far as church services and groups. You can either attend with other students at one of the many on campus church services, or go off campus for the other local services. I'll try to list those I know.

On Campus Groups / Church Services:

+ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - 9:00am Room 3A
+ Ross Christian Fellowship - 10:30am & 5:00pm, Room 3B
+ Ross Catholic Students Association Mass - Sunday afternoons
+ Seventh Day Adventists - Friday Evenings

Available Off Campus:

+ Catholic
+ Seventh Day Adventist
+ Jehovah's Witness
+ Various Christian services

As far as dress, I think at least short sleeves would be appropriate, although at some of the meetings on campus, students just wear shorts and t-shirts. Clearly, this depends on the church and what would typically be appropriate back in the States.

Some of the groups on campus also have locals who attend, while others are solely students.
