There are a few that do it every year, but as mentioned earlier, they either have connections, are in-state or got lucky. Just like the lottery, some people do hit the jackpot, but I wouldn't know about the Canadian version.

2005 transfers

I transferred along with a 3 other people from ross from various semesters. There were about 35 spots in the country (as far as i know) open to transfer for FMGs in 2005 when we transfered. Do a search in this forum for my old post of transfer experience. Please read the old posts before sending me private messages. Dru, maybe a sticky for those people trying to transfer?

When considering transfers, do the US schools look only at your medical school and USMLE scores or do they also look at your undergrad GPA and MCAT?

I dunno...is this such a hot and frequently discussed topic? I'd prefer to see it re-discussed, as transfer success statistics change. If users read a sticky about it without reading the date, and it's moldy-old, they may be misinformed and misguided.

i'm pretty certain no canadian med school accepts ANY transfers (not even between canadian schools) let alone foreign med schools.
