Has anyone received the supplimental financial aid packet from Ross
that requires you to send it back within 10 days?
I dont understand what Im supposed todo with this. It has the estimated cost of attendance then a column with the different loands, a max amount column and then a reduce to column. What am I supposed todo in that reduce to column? On the application Items check list. I believe/know I have the passport, SFAA, SS card, SAR, Signed Income Tax return. I am not sure of these last 3 items Award Letter (Initialed Signed where applicable) - is that the first letter I got in this packet? StafLoan Applications - WHat am I supposed to send them? AltLoan Applications - ? THanks. I called and left a message at Ross for someone to call me back. But this form is dated 3/19. |

Re: Has anyone received the supplimental financial aid packet from Ross
bevo,
i applied for the january semester and eventually deferred to the may semester...so i got all those forms early. most of mine were filled out and sent feb 20th. so hurry up and get things in soon! the first page that says, "Financial Aid Award Letter" is #6. dont reduce the loans unless you absolutely have/want to. most financial advisors say that borrowing the max is good, just in case of an emergency (who knows? you may need quick cash suddenly for something important). i figure that i should just play it safe and borrow it all, knowing that as a physician, i should be able to pay it all back. after all, what's an extra $5K when physicians make $200K? i crossed out the reduced to column and wrote in "no reduce" and initialled. the stafford loan application is #7. look inside the green folder and read over the application. for US citizens, its a breeze to fill out. the alternative loan is #8. its inside the other green folder. this application is more dependet on your credit history. if your credit history is poor, you may need a co-signor. in any case, i would fill things out as soon as possible and send stuff back. that way, if there are any problems, you can correct things in a timely manner. you and i both know that ross is notorious for its lack of "office skills"...they lose things left and right. thus, give yourself some wiggle room to correct for ross's mess-ups. |
