Ross Discount on AA for spouses???

I am hoping someone can help me. I called American airlines to book tkts for the end of Dec. (My husband starts Jan04) And I got a great price. then after all the work, I was told that the price did not apply to me as the spouse because I am not a student. The price was great..$640 round trip , with an open ended return. The reservations agent said she could try to book it for me, but I might have a problem on the day of travel at check in because they ask for Ross ID. My tkt price was alot more with no open end, which causes a problem. I asked about penalties for changing and they are $100 per ticket plus whatever fare difference there might be. I don't know if we will be able to return to the states on the April break, so I really needed an open ended tkt (which is $1350 without the Ross discount). I was hoping MITCHDC could answer me or someone else that has their spouse there with them. I will be staying the entire time on "The Rock" with my husband. Thanks....

No

They've never asked me for Ross Id when I've checked in. Wow, that's a good price you got for the ticket, where are you flying out from?

Ross ID?

what kind of Ross Id are they referring to? Most of us won't have a Ross Id if it's our first time going.

about AA

That's exactly what I said..that he won't have an ID because it will be the first time flying to Ross. I think I should just book the tkt with the Ross discount for both of us and that's that.

Re: Travel with spouses

Hi,
I called AA directly and booked my ticket along with my spouse's using the discount code for both tickets and they did it. They said it DOES apply and no one mentioned anything about a Ross ID. Plus, if what they mean is the letter that Ross sends you granting you permission into Dominica that is for both the student and the spouse as the spouse needs to fill out the HA12 visa form too.
So, just book the two tickets with the discount. I don't see why you can't, I did and it worked (We're flying out of L.A.)
Hope that helps

What's this discount code?

What is this discount code that got you such a great deal? The flight out of Texas was much more expensive for myself and my spouse.[/quote]
