2nd day, just kind of an orientation day for all the students, getting familiar with the hospital system. Scrub orientation is later on and tomorrow we hit the OR. Yesterday (1st day) we were asked on the spot who wanted to be on call for the night!!! so if you come here, be ready....

Surgery recall is your friend, as is PRE-test surgery and A&L surgery
-know your anatomy before going into the OR
-know why you are doing the surgery
-know your patient
-don't say stupid things
-don't whine or complain
-don't be defense when you screw up
-preceed any question with, "last night i was studying/reading and i ..."
-help out your fellow students
-make your residents look good
-leave when your told it is time to go home
-after you have built up a repoir ask to do stuff
