New Parents Forum

For current Ross Students and Ross Students-to-be,
Although you are all adults, most of you have the benefit of having parent(s) for emotional, psychological, and financial support. Please be aware that ValueMD/Ross Forum now offers a Parents Forum. It is designed to be informational and emotionally supportive to the moms and dads taking an active role in their support of you. Thanks for all your interest.

For current or prospective Ross Parents, follow this link to the forum: http://www.valuemd.com/viewforum.php?f=94 Once there, you must request to become a member of the new forum before you are allowed to post. In order to secure the integrity of the site, those who are not parents will be denied participation. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Dru (a Ross mom)

parents

Dru, this is an excellent idea. Having a forum for parents, will be beneficial to the students and to the parents.

glad I went

I would recommend that all students get a parent to go with them to help them find an apartment and do all the things that are required in a new exciting country. I am glad I went with my son and as you did I offer any support to the parents of students coming to Ross in the future or to those parents who have students attending Ross who have never seen the island.

New Parents Forum

Great idea! Wish there had been one a couple years ago when we started researching the Carib Med Schl route. Ross is a great opportunity.

Can you email me your words of wisdom?

Hi Dru,

THanks for the response earlier about the bicycle- it was definitely helpful and informative. How long were you on the island for? Would you mind sending me your words of wisdom via email? i'm at iris_mandell@yahoo.com. Also, so I got that email earlier today notifying me that you wrote back but I deleted that email already. Is there any other way to find your response without searching through each message one by one? i thought maybe you might know a shortcut. Looking forward to reading what you had to say- and passing it on to my parents.

THanks, Iris

Chat scheduled

I have taken Iris' suggestion of having a Ross Chat Room gathering. We are meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. central time in the Ross Chat Room. I would encourage any one interested, including parents, to attempt to log on and be there.
