Immunization and physical at Wyckoff

Hello Everyone:

I am starting my rotation at Wyckoff soon. I know Wyckoff requires immunization record and physical from your doctor. I have immunization records from a different hospital that I rotated through, but I don't have the physical exam records. My previous hospital gave me the immunization records but wouldn't give me physical exam results. My question is: Can I get a physical done at Wyckoff on my first day? Has anyone gone to Wyckoff without a physical exam and was still able to start the rotation on time? Please reply. Thanks a lot.

don't worry

It can all be done at Wyckoff. You've saved yourself by having your immunization record/titres done already at another hospital. That will save you time.

You can get the physical done at Wyckoff, so don't worry. Are you up to date with your TB test? That might also need to be done.

I wouldn't count on having things done the first day. The head person said last week that he cannot allow students to start rotations who have not been cleared my employee health first.

He said he has been letting students get vaccines and other health criteria taken care of after they start, but he can no longer do that.

Just something to keep in mind.

wyckoff

Good ole' Wyckoff, how is Ross central doing these days? Does it still feel like high school in the lunchroom? Man I tried to avoid that place like the plague when I was in rotations. I actually had a friend who did all of his clinicals in NYC and never once stepped foot in that hospital for a rotation. That has to be a Ross record. God bless.

Thanks all for replying. My question to LSU1000 or anyone who can answer it: I have all my immunization records and antibody titers from a different hospital that i just rotated through. However, as I stated in my earlier post, I don't have a recent physical exam. Since PE only takes 5-10 minutes, do you think I can get it done at Wyckoff on my first day? Or, Wyckoff will make me go to my personal doctor (which I don't have one). I really don't want to spend $70-80 if I can get it done at Wyckoff.

Thanks again
