????

The georgia site only list's family practice. I was under the impression that Ross no longer has rotation or at least very few at Kern and Arrowhead seems to be an osteopathic hospital.

No

No, I actually borrowed the concept from the St. George's website and the definition they use of a hospital or group of hospitals in which students may complete several of their clerkships. I thought I would use a reasonably well understood term.

[quote=wilscrews]Mitch,

Did you obtain the 'clinical center' definition from the clinical department in NJ?
For anyone interested, here's the direct link to the Ross clinical affiliations webpage http://www.rossmed.edu/Medical_Schoo...iliations.html

See clinical affilations list on the Ross website.

research

Actually:

1) The clerkships in Georgia are under the umbrella of the Family Medicine Residency which is acceptable by most states including CA.

2) Your impression is wrong from what I have heard recently at Kern. I'm not sure how many spots, but the affiliation is there and Ross students are still being accepted there last thing I heard (after a short period where they stopped because they had sold many of the spots to the highest bidder).

3) Arrowhead has several DO programs, but if you look carefully (and as I stated) the Family Medicine program is affiliated with the University of California Irvine School of Medicine which is an MD program. The rest of the programs there appear to be DO. Again, if the hospital has an approved Family Medicine residency then the remainder of the clerkships should be approved under that umbrella (According to CA own rules and that of many other States).

As always, do your homework.
