Interview, chance of acceptance?

If you are granted an interview, what are your chances of being accepted? Anybody got rejected? or do they just place you in MERP? Thanks

There have been plenty of individuals rejected by Ross...felons, people with profoundly low gpa's &/or MCAT's, people with rotten or no activity sheets...I think from what I've seen and heard, they assess you on a global basis and take ALLthings into consideration. My opinion is that Ross gives you the opportunity that you've missed by being rejected by schools on US soil. Ross is NOT a cake-walk, though...if you're accepted, you will need to study your gluteals off and behave.

I actually got rejected from Ross after my interview. That was in 2003. At the time I hadn't taken the MCAT (it wasn't mandatory), but my interview pretty much sucked. For instance the first question that was asked was "why didn't you teach English instead". I think that question threw me for a loop...

all this to say - Ross does reject!

i think MERP is some premed type thing; ie-Ross thinks you need more background knowledge before starting the MD program

I know someone who was refused outright at Ross yet was accepted to St. George's. Chose AUC btw... Getting into Ross is not as easy as it might seem. The big three operate independently, and therefore it would be wise to apply to AUC, Ross, and St. George's just to be on the safe side.
