FM in Wycoff vs Larkin

just wanted to see what the difference was bt those two hospitals. i heard wycoff having a lot of scut work. so basically, i guess FM at larkin should be better right?? how hard is to get FM in Larkin. i thought the block that im scheduled for FM at wycoff could be done at Larkin, so that i could learn instead of scutwork??? any thought would really appreaciate.
thanks

both places truly suck, but if you really had to do it somewhere, its a tough decision. hear the program at wycoff has residents in family, therefore it would be an MD rotation and you would learn at least something since there are residents to teach you. larkin is easy to get into since there are no blocks. larkin is bad since no residents, you stand around most of the time and file away charts for someone...they have no consideration to teach students anything (well, most of the people there, some do teach). good luck.

FP at wyckoff is great for outpt, but for inpt it is pitifully painful. i dreaded going to that dump at 6am everyday to do tons of crap scutwork and learn nothing (exactly the same as worthless internal medicine rotation there).

for outpt there u will learn alot about diagnosis and treatment by seeing pts, taking histories, doing useful h&ps, and sometimes prcedures. u will see lots of old folks, kids, and immigrants. excellent overall.
