Psych at Caritas

Can someone explain if the Psych core at Caritas is ACGME [Greenbook] because there isn't a residency in Psych there?

If there are Psych residents from an affiliate program who rotate there, does it make the core full ACGME?

Yes. Check the ACGME listing for Psychiatry in NY; sponsoring program: Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, and Caritas is listed as one of the major participating institutions, making the rotation ACGME...

Yep and yep.

PS even if there aren't residents from another program rotating there/no ACGME listed, most states will be happy if the rotation can be covered under the family practice umbrella.

Are there Psych residents from another program (Creedmoor?) at Caritas or is it only covered under the FM umbrella?

No, I said Caritas IS ACGME. The Creedmoor residency program includes Caritas as a participating institution, so that makes it ACGME, even if you don't physically SEE the other residents there. Rotations under the family practice umbrella are not ACGME...

So you're good rotating there.. :-)

Question

Does anyone know anything about the psychiatry or family medicine rotations at Catholic Medical Center? I am scheduled to start those in September. Are they any good?
