Talking Comming down to the island for a visit

Hey,
I am comming down to the Island for visit on July 14. Is that a good time to visit or are there exams going on at that time. Also, is there any way to store some stuff on the island until August semester begins because from the looks of it I am going to have more than the allowed 70 pounds of stuff to bring. I was also thinking of getting an apartment for the next semester while I am there. Is that going to be difficult since the fourth termers haven't moved out yet.
Are small appliances available on the island to buy. I have heard that students leaving the island put their stuff for sale, but that is not probably till August, right?
And most importantly, is there anyone nice and generous enough to show a newbie around
Thank you,
Ali

July 14 is right after our exams.

There are plenty of apartments available, even right now. If you need any appliance other than a microwave, then you'd better bring it yourself.

You can get an apt and store your stuff there.

Or you can store your stuff at my place for a one time fee of $200 USD. heheh. A hell of a deal.... because it's better than paying one month's rent, and then leaving your apt vacant until school starts.

Also, I can show you around. I only charge $50 USD per hour.

Yeah. It's nothing personal. It's strictly business

btw, why did you pass up a D.O to come to Ross..... that was not a good move.
