Beware ross grads canNOT get residency

Is a degree from Dominica respected????????????????????
It's true there are Ross grads that get to top positions ( also with connections) but I know of THREE people that can NOT get residency and one person that waited 7 YEARS to finally get one. The school should be more open to this and wouyuld bve more fair and professionla to let us know how many do NOT get any job after 200 K loans from Ross.
There are many Ross grads who DO get good residencies , but there are a LOT who can NOT and thats something I never knew till I found my friends in that spot. They passed boards first time around and applied for family practice and internal medicine-the easiest- but could NEVER get a job/residency. Ross claims that ONLY 20 % of grads can NOT find residency ever ( a lot more cant find it the first year, they7 have to wait for years).
Anyone who didnt find residency, pleasde post.
I know a lot of people hired by Ross might start telling us all the succcess story , but please lets keep this honest...I know a LOT of Ross grads might eventually be able to practice in the state, but how about the HUFGE numbers that don't.

Ross Residencies

Quote from RUSM website: "More Ross University School of Medicine graduates have obtained first year residency positions at U.S. teaching hospitals since 2000 than graduates from any other medical school in the world, including U.S. medical schools."

3 fail out of 561 2005 Graduates = 99.995% success rate.

Please document your claim: "Ross claims that ONLY 20 % of grads can NOT find residency ever ( a lot more cant find it the first year, they have to wait for years)."

sometimes honest compells one to confess that the conspiracy theories are not true. Ross students and a ross degree are both respected. And that's the truth.

We don't need the ross admin to paint a pretty picture. Since you are the one who is less credible, YOU have the burden of proof.

So let's hear it. Post your sources. Where is your evidence? Give us some links.

thanks. bye.

Frankly, that makes no sence whatsoever. Who exactly do you think is going to provide data on the school? The evidence is in the 30 years ross has been producing grads. The pluses and minuses are out there (and on here). The burden is on you to do the legwork to verfiy any information you get, frankly, not to sit and challenge others to "prove it". Or don't. It's a rather impotent challange since the info is freely available for those not too lazy to take charge of their own education about IMG in general and offshore in particular.

MY FRIENDS DID not GET RESIDENCY!!!

All I wa saying is that I was shocked to the bitter truth when I found three people from my class who didn't. They were close enough to me that when i wanted to apply for residency , they told me coming out of Ross they could NOT get in any residency.......all I am saying is ASK UPPER CLASSMATES Not just the ones Ross sends you to, but others and find out those who did NOT get in....they ARE out there and the truth eeds to be known.. Do NOT just get all defensive...if we deny a problem exists, we'll turn blind....we must admit there are challenges and some , a LOT of Ross grads can not get US residencies........once again, Ross grads who did NOT get residency, please share your story, advices , why you couldnt get residencies...etc. We all Ross students just hear the school side, we need to hear the truth

preppystud

preppystud is back! this should be entertaining til he gets banned again. ross has been around a long time. if "a lot" of grads weren't getting residency i am certain there would be more publicity

you're avoiding the question. where is the 20% claim?

You're just making yourself look very foolish.

and 3 people are pretty much statistically insignificant. If you don't apply to enough programs, obviously your chance of getting ONE residency is limited. Everyone knows that.......... well, except namelessobscure.

one student

I know a student from my class in Ross who didn't get a residency this year, and it wasn't due to anything that Ross did.

He did the Step 2 exams and finished clinicals by Nov 2004. A FP residency was set up for him (incl. coats, name tags etc) in his home town to start in January 2005. He got married and put a down payment on a new house. Now what could go wrong?

Did Ross not send in his diploma? Was there an address error? Did the ECFMG certificate get rerouted to Europe accidently? No, none of the above. He took his Step 2 Clinical Skills exam in September 2004 in Los Angeles. To this day, he has not received his scores. He couldn't even graduate.

Sad, but true....and he's still waiting....
