18 on the MCAT 3.3 GPA, am I screwed? I know it depends but

I know it will depend on the entering classes stats. In addition, if I did this bad on the MCAT, is this a strong indication that I will not be able to pass the Step 1, eventhough I haven't had sciences classes since 1998. Please help. Thanks and sorry for the redundancy.

Response.

Salutations "SMU_Basic":

I wouldn't worry too much about the MCAT score being a predictor of passing the USMLE. When you get to medical school, work hard and concentrate on your studies. The bottom line is there have been people who did not score that well on the MCATs who passed Step I. Do not try to correlate the MCAT score with passing Step I, although many have already done so in the past. It only leads to worries. Your GPA already says that you can do well. Good luck. Ciao.

Hi SMU-Basic. My opinion only counts for myself, but I'll say this anyway: you can do very well in medical school, regardless of your MCAT score. I definitely believe in you. You can become a great physician! Best wishes!
