where to stay in miami for 5th
If you do not do the optional UMBR (board review given by ross professors, which most people would rather not do, and instead spend that time reading Kaplan and doing Qbank) then 90% of your time is at the Hyatt in downtown or clinical sites which are mostly in North Miami areas. Don't live in Kendall as your drive to the Hyatt can be an hour and a half, as it was for many of my friends, even though it is only 10 or 15 miles.... don't get fooled by people telling you otherwise. From Larkin area the drive can still be 40 mins each wednesday morning, and farther down Kendal Dr is insane. I lived directly across UofM and it was good. But i don't advise anyone living any more south then the North tip of campus. Coconut grove is great place in the middle, and lots of fun. Anywhere in the Grove or south you can easily find places ranging from 500-900 per bedroom. Check out the UofM campus for fliers and their websites!! Places north of downtown i'm not too sure about. South Beach is crazy expensive.
If you are going to do UMBR, its all different. 3-4 days a week are at Larkin just for UMBR. Once a week for Small grp. If you decide to waste your time with UMBR, then live closer to Larkin, or in the Coconut Grove area even. |

Airport Villas ?
Has anyone lived at Airport Villas in Miami? It seems like a good deal. The only drawbacks I can see that it is a bit of a drive from the 7000 building and is located next to the airport. Can anyone who lived there give me some feedback on how they liked it and how bad was the noise with it being next to the airport?

Condo for Share in Chicago, March 07
I'm looking for a female roommate for my second bedroom. It has its own bath.
It will be available March 2nd, but you can drop stuff off earlier if need be. The building is brand new, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, hardwood floors, washer/dryer in the apt. Located on Western between Polk and Taylor, it's steps away from UIC/Medical District/Rush. CTA and UIC transport readily available, with I-290 2 blocks away and easy street parking. Really ideal for Med students as the Med district and city transport are very close by. Quiet building with all professionals. It's month-to-month for those unsure of their schedules and furnished. All you need are your clothes. Rent is $700 with utilities included in rent. No smoking or pets please. Me: Late 20s female, pgy-1. Rarely home-on q4 call.
