Thread: something REALLY WRONG at ross!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody. Like most of you, I love ross and i'm thankful for the opportunity to become an MD.

However, something that really pisses me off about ross is that they hold your grades hostage whenever they want you to do something or fill out some stupid survey. This is plain wrong- if not illegal-I busted my butt for those grades and now i can't get them because I didn't fill out your dumb survey? It seems pretty unfair to me!!!!

I was wondering how long this policy has been around and if anyone has ever challenged it in court or otherwise?

yea, how long is the survey? I have done lots of surveys, sometimes, i get paid, or got a dollar or two.

I don't see how that can be a big deal of filling out a survey? haven't you done many instructors evaluations during final exams, or during the last day of the class?

the survey they made us fill out took like 5 mins. i think people took longer trying to log into the survey client (hahahaha) mainly because most are used to using their regular login and password and keep forgetting to use the id number on their card and that they must insert their name differently. Anyway, the questions are really easy, all were just radio buttons that you cilck and its done. Not really a big deal, although, the nature of surveys is that they are optional. The only thing that I think is bad is the fact that those students who are absolutely and TOTALLY AGAINST the surveys (like some of the people who have posted above) will end up filling out the survey without even reading it and just clicking around just to get it done and get their grades. This would give the survey people bad data...i think if the survey was optional then the answers would be more accurate, but whatever. I think with 1000 people filling it out, it probably just evens out in the end anwyay.
