Basic science 4 semesters "Fast track" or 5 semesters

    Hello,

I know Ross mentions the basic science being either 4 or 5 semesters. Is this really an "option" or do they make everyone do 5 semesters for $$?

It's absolutely an option. X is accelerated 4 semesters, traditional is 5. You have a choice after 1st semester. They may recommend traditional if you struggled with 1st but that's not a requirement as far as I know.

    Great!! Thank you.

Do you know the process to opting out of the resource books? Is it different books every semester since they charge 400 every semester, or do some books carry on to next semester? I heard some of the books are used various semesters.

I would like to purchase the books on my own (I dislike ebooks).

Also, do many students choose the schools insurance? I was reading the benefit and it is a pretty crappy insurance. I rather get my own insurance that cover medical evacuation.

It has been almost 9 years since I was on the island full time. Most of the time I never bought the books and just used the ppts that were loaded onto the G: drive but I honestly don't know how they do it anymore. A current student would be more useful for that information. Insurance when I was there had 500 deductible then had full coverage which was actually decent as far as I'm concerned. Again idk how it is now.
