    Unhappy Bug Spray

Recommended bug spray / insect repellant to avoid mosquito bites, especially if skin is hypersensitive to bites. (aka get HIVES)

Dude, I was jesting with the awesomepenia bit. You didn't have to change your name!

I always went with unscented off. Though to be honest, the mosquitoes on Dominica always seem to find ways of counteracting any and all repellent. They're kinda like the beta lactamases of the mosquito world

JCU is right, those mosquitoes are highly resistant to bug spray, it's almost as if the enjoy it.

When I was in Dominica the skeeterz absolutely despised this stuff...

Amazon.com: Off! Deep Woods Sportsmen 20% Picaridin Mini Spritz-0.5 oz.: Health & Personal Care

No DEET. And it's not like most of the other repellants in that the mosquitos will just find one or two spots where you might have missed (ie - Dang it there's a bite on the back of knee cuz I forgot to put spray there!). So it has a "halo" effect.
