If I had listen to my advisors in highschool and undergrad, I wouldn't have gone to medical school and realize that I do have the potential to become a doctor.
Even though I pass all my classes, but if I was in the poster's situation where I failed all my classes, I still wouldn't give up. I will keep going until I get that freaken MD and match into residency. I'm just saying, I'm not the type of doctor who will watch my patient die, I will do everything I can to keep him or her life.
It's obvious that the person has already evaluated that MD is the only thing for him, believe me if they haven't they wouldn't be posting for help.
Alot of people emphasize on IQ and genius (smart) to be successful in medicine, but I totally disagree. I believe that knowing your strength and weakness, combine with hard work is the key to success. The person posting for help is a hard worker, but have not utilize his strength properly and to his full potential.
For example, I'm a visual learner, so my notes are filled with diagrams and arrows, that's how I learn. Whereas my classmate learn better with words and text, so her lecture notes are very wordy and scares me.
This person needs to know what kind of person he or she is, it makes a big difference in absorbing the material. Once he finds his strength, he can start all over as a first year medical student and hopefully past all his classes.
