I have been admitted to Ross School of Veterinary Medicine for this up coming semester (Jan2011). I have come across some not-so-cool information about Ross and I just want some student opinions on questions that have been bothering me. (Thanks ahead of time!):
1) Do you feel safe living on St Kitts? (I have heard some pretty scary stuff about crimes...)
2) Which part of the island is safest to live on? (I'm planning to get an apartment to share with a roommate)
3) I'm from the US. I have heard that some students leave after 5 days into the orientation. Should I worry about not being able to adjust to island life?
4) I have heard about PETA suing Ross. Is there any reason I should be concerned about the school's use of animals?
If you go you may be wasting your time and money. Just a warning they are out to fail people and make things difficult on purpose. Crime is bad yes but if you use your common sense you should be fine. I was there for one semester then I left and went to St. Matthew's it is much better here. Obviously it is Grand Cayman so there is a higher standard of living also. If you need the loans try Ross out but St. Matthew's has an dual MBA option which will pay for your tuition (NOTE I said tuition only) Living expenses are the only thing you will have to worry about. St. Matthew's may be getting loans again soon though.
