Thread: high yield cell and molecular bio book 1999 vs 2006

does anybody know the story on how dif these books are from eachother

the two dif editions

word on street is 1999 is supposed to be better

but its 300 on amazon now

wish i bought it back when it was 70

is the 2006 that much more useless info??

does anyboyd have these ebook

This response is not based upon the specific editions of the books that you are referring to because I have not seen them.

However, my experience is based on other, similar books, such as BRS Microbiology and Immunology, Fourth Edition, (2002) and the Fifth Edition (2010). Because of the advances in research, there have been substantial changes. What was a fact in 2002 edition is no longer a fact in 2010.

Unless it is a general anatomy book, a 1999 edition of anything is just too old.

Consequently, rather than trying to save money on older, most likely obsolete editions, buy the most current edition possible.

actually this question was asking if the 1999 version was worth the going rate of 300 bucks on ebay

because the 2002 ed of same book is only 20 bucks on amazon.

this is the only book i know of wehre the out of print edition is of infinitely higher demand than the newer edition
