Oh Raptor Jesus.
I'm interested in the Fall term 2010. I have heard good and bad things about Ross. Can someone please tell me if Ross has a good medical program compared to the United States medical schools. My intestest is surgery, and is Ross the best school for surgery.
Oh Raptor Jesus.
really do a search, it's all speculative, research schools Residency matches and see which school gets the most surgery. Obviously no carib school is better than even the worst American MD school, toss up for DO depending on if you care about DO vs MD.
it's probably not a good school for someone that ends a question with an exclamation mark.
It is the best school on the world! Even better than Harvard, Yale, and Oxford. I mean where else can you go to med school with palm trees, beaches, and hot women in bikinis going to class. Oh don't forget that we have a med school prom at the end of fourth semester.
If this doesn't sound appealing, may I recommend this school ...

Ross, nor any of the Caribbean schools are going to be true U.S. Medical School type setting with a major teaching hospital affiliated near campus. I guess AUA is close to that. However, Ross as with SABA, AUC, and SGU are the recommended standard for medical education should you decide to come to the Caribbean for your education.
These are established schools and have evidence to show they have successfully graduated thousands over the decades. I would suggest you look at random US Med School curriculums and compare with Ross University. The volume and coverage will be almost identical to what you would receive in a U.S. Medical School.
In terms of the residency training you wish to enter into will highly depend on your performance on the USMLE Step exams. A sufficiently high score will place your probability to attain a surgical residency spot in high category. If a surgical field is what you desire, expect to hit over the 90th percentile to have a strong chance of landing that spot. Remember you are competing with U.S. allopathic and osteopathic candidates as well as other FMGs.
and people wonder why the attrition rate is high....
