Is the tuition the same for the Bahamas and the Dominica students?

thats what I would assume
I don't really keep up with the situation since theres no way this Cali thing is going to be resolved prior to their 2010 site visit at which point i'll probably be in my 3rd or 4th and since i'm comfortable on the island i've taken it off my options list

No, I don't think 'most, if not all' of the money will go to the Bahamas campus. I do agree that it's an added expense, but Ross profited $42 million last year. They don't need to raise tuition to cover the costs of the Bahamas campus because it's not costing them anywhere near $42 million/year and they're not running a deficit.

However, if they do end up using the money for the Bahamas campus, I think it's good. I think that having a permanent campus there will draw a lot more students. They'll have a new campus, be 20 min from Miami, and have access to a lot more resources, guest lecturers, and be able to host more Brown Bag/research days. With all of these things going on, they're going to attract a stronger applicant pool (i.e. more of the top SGU applicants may be more likely to go to Ross because it's made itself a stronger medical school, having higher stats makes the school look better and these two things feed off of each other).

Ross is in a good position to really hit a home run with the Bahamas campus, which will strengthen my degree (and yours). I don't want my money going to pad DeVry's pockets any more than you do and I don't think they need the money for the Bahamas campus but, if that's what they use it for, I also benefit in the end. I'm ok with that.

DEQNY85 has disabled reputation
lets face it, the corporate sharks will have their pockets lined regardless....this is a business and thats how it works...I doubt any of them would be willing to take a lower pay for the "good of the company"

Its fine if they want to relocate a campus....Im not one to agree with "expanding" a MEDICAL school bc then we just start looking like diploma mills if we are shooting out 600+ per semester. However, none of us can say that the money wont go to Bahamas because that project has cost millions and will continue to cost money since its a work in progress. Regardless, my point was I dont want to be pay any more than i already am esp since I think less than year ago they raised the tuition already right?

I'm getting tired of the increases, too. When we started, it was $13k(ish)/sem, then they raised it when we got to 3rd, and now they're raising it again. I want the school to succeed and I tell myself it's going towards good things (helps me sleep a little better), but I'm nobody's year end bonus.
