No, I don't think 'most, if not all' of the money will go to the Bahamas campus. I do agree that it's an added expense, but Ross profited $42 million last year. They don't need to raise tuition to cover the costs of the Bahamas campus because it's not costing them anywhere near $42 million/year and they're not running a deficit.
However, if they do end up using the money for the Bahamas campus, I think it's good. I think that having a permanent campus there will draw a lot more students. They'll have a new campus, be 20 min from Miami, and have access to a lot more resources, guest lecturers, and be able to host more Brown Bag/research days. With all of these things going on, they're going to attract a stronger applicant pool (i.e. more of the top SGU applicants may be more likely to go to Ross because it's made itself a stronger medical school, having higher stats makes the school look better and these two things feed off of each other).
Ross is in a good position to really hit a home run with the Bahamas campus, which will strengthen my degree (and yours). I don't want my money going to pad DeVry's pockets any more than you do and I don't think they
need the money for the Bahamas campus but, if that's what they use it for, I also benefit in the end. I'm ok with that.
