Hey guys, I have a question for NYC residents who got the good conduct letter from the NYPD. I paid for one letter and I realized that the visa requirement states two letters. In order to get another letter, they said I have to pay another $30. Can I just make a photocopy or is it necessary to pay another $30? Thanks!

I don't remember needing (or getting) two copies ...

they dont give a kabuli. I didn't have my physician's business card or proof of my shots and they haven't kicked me off island yet.

Wow! I live in a small town in Ohio and the local PD charged me 5 cents per sealed letter. I know everything in NYC is expensive, but that's brazen robbery!

One of my friends never handed in his letter... hes a 3rd year now...

We were told we needed a 2nd copy - original, not photocopy - that way we would have one to get a Bahamas visa if we go. If you know you have zero intention of going there then don't.. otherwise, spend the $30 and get one. It's waaaay easier to do it now than worry about it later.. At least where I got mine you have to do it in person so you can't have someone do it for you after you've gone.

All these procedures r waste of $$ !! Return tht 1st letter also !!

Yea I'm in Orange County, CA and my letter was $57. All it was, was a black and white photo copied looking cheezy letter. There is no way I'm going to pay them $114 for a letter. $57 was bad enough.
