Are there any mma gyms (or BJJ, MT places) in dominica? Googled it but couldnt find anything. Thanks.

wow....maybe you should google Dominica for some pictures on how the island looks like....never seen any martial arts on jurrasic park.....and nope we dont have malls either

Yea it's pretty third world from what I've seen. I doubt there is a local place. You could set up a club. I'd come fight/play on saturday mornings for a short time as my once a week break.

I would say...go to the tennis courts..and in middle of the tennis courts practice your martial arts !!! U will have a great time !

they dont even have a punching bag... the local banana trees are pretty nice to punch but bring ur own tape. They dont have anything here man...

There was a Grecho Roman Wrestling group, fwiw, when I was at Ross.

Held in the upstairs part of the Gym.

Its good to know there is interest (and mat space) on the island. I am planning to organize my own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club once I get down there. I want to continue to train and teach, and see it as a great way to stay in shape, spread the sport/art, and make friends (along with relieving stress!). If anyone is interested, post a reply with your contact and I can give you more information from there.

Just so you know, if this is something you're planning on doing for more than once a week, your grades will start to suffer.
