Thread: Rotations in Texas?

I've been trying to get a hold of Ross in this question but no one seems to know the answer.

I wanted to know how many people have got into Texas for clinical rotations in the past 2-3 years.

I want to residency in TX and I know doing your rotations in the same area will increase your chances of getting residency there.

This question has already been brought up before in this forum. It is possible, but u gotta have the best grades and step scores. Usually you can do only 4th year coz I heard getting rotations for 3rd yr is really hard..

So for right now, just do ur best and will take of care rotations after you get out of Dominica !

I know of people who've done it, and yes this topic has been exhausted. I'm trying to get this done as well, but sadly I've struck out a few times at some programs. Won't get into specifics, but do a search.

And it's true you can't do cores (which is pretty much a given, I mean they have their own med students), but electives are a different matter. US med students travel during the 4th year all the time for certain programs they might want to into residency in, it's just that some places won't accept Carib or International students. Search the programs that do and inquire.
