Thread: "how to get 4.0" was pointless

I went to the "how to get a 4.0" thing they had last week and like everyone else in the audience, I was very disappointed! I feel sorry for the current batch of 1st semesters because they really got the short end of the stick. I went to the one last semester during my 1st semester and I found it very helpful. Not necessarily the "how to study" aspect because everyone studies differently, but more for the motivational and pep talk. This semester I went back to get me revved up again and I was bored and almost fell asleep. I don't know why they changed the speakers, but they should really bring back the ones from last semester that scared me into studying my butt off. I hope this is not considered "flaming". I'm just giving my opinion! is that still allowed on this forum??? I think I should schedule a "how to get a 4.0" myself. I would do a much better job. The food wasn't good either. complete waste of time!
Since I am a solutions person, I suggest in the future you have more relevant topics to discuss and try to prepare before the event instead of just winging it. If any of the organizers would like to PM me, I would be more than willing to give you advise on how to do it better. Since I'll be here another 2 semesters, I would be willing to speak to make it a more interesting and lively event as well. I tend to gather an audience, especially males for some reason. lol.

Why reserve it to just PM's. Why not throw a few nuggets to the general public here on the board. I would love to know how to get a 4.0 as a general rule and I am a male as well.

If I was an old student, how was I able to attend this snooze fest? If you were in 2nd semester right now, you would know who I am. I'm the girl every one comes to when the professors are unable to explain something properly. Next semester I'm planning on holding tutoring sessions, TAing anatomy and neuro. keep an eye out for my sessions current 1st semesters. come to my class if you want to pass. yes, i'm that good. ask anyone!
