Geesh, these comps sound pretty gruesome! Why do FM have to take comps? I do not think US medical schools have too! How do u study for them?

Whooa hero... let's learn to crawl before we walk. You need to worry first about getting through MERP. If you overlook what's going on in the "now", you have better chance of failing out.

You have to pass the COMP to sit for the STEP

Some US schools do take the COMP, but not the shelve. Others take shelf exams but not the comp. Some schools take shelf clinical exams. Ross does all.

I actually think that is a very good idea what Ross does. Ross students have higher Step scores compared to US due in no small part to that.

Ross has clinical shelf exams? I think you got that one wrong....afaik, Ross doesn't have shelfs for clinicals (to the detriment of students unfortunately...i think that's a big reason why Ross students perform poorly...at least from what i've read....on step 2).

An e-mail a few months ago from Dr. C (Dean of clinical sciences) mentioned that shelf exams for clinicals will soon be used. Not sure if this went through or not. Maybe someone who has recently finished a core rotation can comment if a shelf was administered at the end of their rotation.

Oh, you need not worry about me! The last time I checked, I am free to ask questions I would like to know the answers too! Chill out bro! Just asking general questions!

If Ross students have higher step scores than our US counterparts... I will eat my shoe!!!
I'm sure there are exceptions, but as a general rule... NO WAY.
    I could be wrong...
