We have heard of AUC...AUA is more spoken of b/c they take all the students who fail out of Ross, and that is a lot.

510 points brob311, how many people fail out of ross?!
It's hard to say how many people "fail" out. But I can give a number of how many people usually repeat/fail. Our first semester class had 400+ students, and we had 80-90 people repeat/fail/leave after first semester. Second we lost roughly 30-40. Third and Fourth seemed to be about 30 students a semester. So roughly 150 students out of hte original 420 repeated or failed. These numbers are based off of PBL sheets which contain all students in the semester, including those a semester above you who repeated.
But I have some friends that failed out of Ross and are at AUA, and they say quite a few Ex-Rossies are in their class.

510 points thanks!! you know the ones who failed out... or had to repeat a semester, do you know why? Is it because they were lazy and didn't study or didn't know how to study or didn't take med school seriously and thought it was going to be "easy"?
I would say all of those reasons. Most who keep their head down, and keep from getting distracted too much get through.

510 points and to clarify "keep your head down" means DON'T trust people! A lot of Carib students have a real chip on their shoulder (the older students are especially bitter) and as sick as it is, some of these classmates will try to trip you up with gossip and anonymous "concerned" phone calls. This is why they call it a 'cutthroat' school - some people don't feel like they're moving forward unless they're walking over someone else.
510 points how evil...
