Great! I'm used to expecting rain on a clear sunny day here in houston. its almost a lateral move weather wise then.

Right now its more like 60 % chance of rain. Get ready your legs ready to jump and dodge mud puddles. And by rain, we are not talking about drizzle, we are talking about tropical DOWN POUR. It's all good though, you get use to carrying an umbrella everywhere you go. I prefer this hot weather than my "walking in the snow" boston weather.

i'm from houston too. trust me living in dominica has the exact same humidity, but instead of 100 degree weather it's a constant 85 with some breeze running through, so rest assured the weather is not as bad as people make it to be.

It's only bad for those who are used to colder weather!

A lot of people get books from international books. I got my books from amazon and carried them with me. But it took up a lot of weight and I didn't buy many books. Another option is getting books from upper semester students who basically throw away their books. Like today, I got a free grants dissector and free dissection kit from a very nice upper semester woman.
