There are 3 ways to be subjected to dismissal:
1) Fail 3 classes or more in 1 semester
2) Fail a class you previously passed or failed in a repeat semester
3) Fail more than 2 semesters

They changed it recently... Now if you fail two classes you have to appeal dismissal in front of a panel... so you better have a great excuse.

Hmmm, I think it may be worth looking into because a powerpoint presentation for semester 1 on the g drive for this jan 2008 class, says that if you fail 1-2 classes, repeat the semester on probation, so I guess it's best to check the student handbook.

AUA dismissed 120 students last semester. They have turned into another Ross because they now accept 350 students per class and have to expel at least 150 of them. So don't think of it as just a backup. If you get into AUA, YOU HAVE TO WORK YOUR TAIL OFF. All the Ross students that have transferred to AUA have said that 3rd and 4th semester at AUA is way harder than 3rd and 4th semester at Ross.

Be careful.

However, I should note that 1st and 2nd semester at AUA was more chill than at Ross...but when they hit 3rd semester...the transfer students all ended up failing again and got kicked out...

Actually, you don't have to pass the shelf. You need at least a 54 and passing is 64
