why do you say that, you don't got to school there yet, you don't know. how do you know the students complaining don't have horrible step scores and gpas. I don't want to talk about this stuff, but if you want to complain there is a thread for that.

people can complain and complain all they want about the clinical situation, but i don't think anybody here can do anything about it except go to another school. people who applied to Ross, I assume, are adults and have weighed the pros and cons about going to school there, specifically having the clinical rotation issues in mind (there are several threads here concerning this very topic). i will roll with the punches when the time comes regarding this issue; like most of you here I AM EXCITED about getting in, and i will finish and get that residency spot i want like those before me.

to those going in may...congratulations and i'll see you all there.

I simply answered the persons question about the clinical situation. You should not be so naive that you all think it will simply blow over by the time we get there. Read the posts about trouble in the clinical department going back a long time (years)! You have to be concerned with the clinical situation and to say ‘how can you say that you are not even there yet’ is sticking your head in the sand! I challenge you to go to the other three main Caribbean schools forums, SABA, SGU, and AUC and read the kinds of threads they have. There is none of this constant school bashing that is all over the Ross forum! It seems few people who post here on Ross’s forum have nice things to say about any aspect of the school but on the other schools’ forum there is camaraderie and banter and good times. I am not making this up!

You said the ones posting that stuff about clinicals are those with low GPA’s and USMLE scores. So how can it be that only people with terrible GPA’s and USMLE scores post here on Ross so their posts should be discounted but I guess those posting on the other schools forums are all high achievers with fantastic scores? No, there is a mixture of both types of people posting on all the forums but still most of the posts on Ross’s forum are unsettling and so negative, the opposite of what you find on the other schools forums.

I don’t know if the clinical situation will get better or worse, no one knows but why take the chance? If you can get into Ross you should be able to get into other schools as well. The question is why risk it when you cannot say beyond all doubt that the clinical problems will be resolved prior to our clinical years? Ross is not that great of a school, it is a foreign medical school, just like all the other Caribbean medical schools. Sure it’s in the top 4 but that leaves you 3 other possibilities that do not have these clinical problems! Hey, Ross was my first choice until I started doing a little more research and now I just want to jump off the sinking ship. It is not worth it to me to potentially miss my 2012 match when I have other options. Best of luck to those who are sticking with Ross I wish you all smooth sailing.
