Almost went to Loyola, but ended up at DePaul.

I am graduating from Florida State University and am interviewing for May 08 on in two days. Anyone interview in Orlando? Congrats to those are are already in (hopefully i'll be taking celebration shots with you all down there!)

hey guys and girls,
I applied for May 2008. Had my interview 12/4...and am waiting on a decision from the committee
Here are my stats:
Graduated December 2006 from UCI
GPA: 3.398
MCAT: 21Q
Experience: 2 years at Hoag Hospital, 2 years Research at UCIMC, Working with children with Autism, visited/volunteered at an orphanage in the Philippines this past summer for a few days
I'm not sure if I did great in the interview...had trouble explaining my Research experience (mostly because I was nervous), and am not sure if interviewer like that I said that I come from a family of Physicians
What do you guys and girls think? Any chance that I'll be able to join you down in Dominica?

Were you able to explain that medicine was YOUR choice not that of your family? and Were you able to explain how spending even a few days in the Philippines gave you an insight to the hardships you would expect to encounter on the island? If you did these things I think you should breath deep and relax! Good luck my moneys on you (if I were a person who bets!). Take care However, I am not on the ADCOM so what do I know!

Any of u guys worried about all the negative who ha thats being thrown around about clinical rotations? Im trying not to think about and just bask in the glory of my acceptance to med school but i am a little concerned. Im hoping it all kinda blows over before we get to the clinical stage. Whaddya think?

Nope, won't blow over. It's about money, not people or our lives. MONEY why should they change? Even with all the Stuff being posted on here people are still applying and the classes will still be full!
