I dont know if you guys have started looking into buying supplies and textbooks yet. its cheaper if you buy it here and take it with you than buying it from the book store and paying double the price. you will end up saving couple 100 bucks.
websites:
text; half.com, ebay.com, abebooks.com
supplies: allheart.com (specially for stethoscope, physician bags)

I HIGHLY recommend you don't buy any and wait until you land on the island to buy them from upperclassmen.

You will need the diagnostic equipment throughout your career and i found out that stuff you buy from the island are International grade, not US grade and so when you bring them back to the US, the warranty expires. I confirmed this with one of the dealers. Where books are concerned, it might be a good idea to buy from the upper classmen. will be cheaper that way.
thanx for the input

Oh yea, spot on. I was referring to your books, not your medical supplies.

Hi all,

I will be joining the May 2008 class, I was not directly accepted, I was MERPered first. I am happy I did the program, because I feel like I am better prepared now. Congrats to all that made the class thus far!

I just got a call from my interviewer and she stated to me that I was accepted. cGPA=3.4, sGPA=3.4 MCAT=20o. Now I'm faced with a decision of picking a school. But Ross might be one of my top choices. Hopefully I'll be seeing you guys in May 08. Is anybody on this forum a Dallas native?

Hi everyone,
Is it too late to apply to Ross for the May 2008 class? I know its like only 2 months away lol but still..
My stats are ok...not really spectacular...MCAT: 9V, 10B, 9P..28R composite...my cum gpa for undergrad was 3.39 n science was barely 3.2...and 3 yrs of research (a 2 yr long internship resulting in a publication, a summer fellowship, and 1 yr full-time job)...i don't hve much clinical related exp except for like 2 months volunteering in the ER after freshman yr...do you guys think i'll get in for may or is it too late?

your MCAT is above average for Ross...and I think your GPA is right on. I'm pretty sure they're still accepting folks for the May class....if you want to apply I would advise you to get on the application now!

I think they are still accepting because I have an interview on march 11th and i have a friend who has one on the 12th.

I have a 3.55 gpa, 24 MCAT, a year of cancer research and tons of clinical volunteering. Do u guys think i have a good chance of getting in for the may semester? especially considering that I'm a late applicant...
