Being a transfer student is not bad at all . Tons of people have done it , some by choice and many because the choice was essentially made for them .

This is the reality .
Really? In whose eyes? yours? Most do graduate with their MDs but that degree is worth as much as a piece of paper on the wall. You see most PDs do look at things like failing classes and and getting dismissed from an institution. Most likely they wont accept that applicant that has that on their record especially if they are from the caribbeans. Now that is reality. Failing at Ross or any other caribb school is not the same as failing at Harvard med. so don't try to size yourself up to that.

Not true at all . Total baloney .I am 1st yr resident and I can give some advice on this . You are way off here . Based on what I have seen and all the people that I have talked to and the more I learn from being a medical resident , they can care less about your transcript especially if you are from the caribbean .

Of course if you have attended multiple med schools that may be a problem with competitive fellowships etc .For primary care , it wouldn't matter .
Don't come on this board and speak for P.Ds
MDsoon is correct . Thats sound advice . Good luck to all.

Yes , the steps thats what its all about . Pass your boards and graduate from a WHO approved school and one will be able to get a residency somewhere in the US

I happen to be doing my residency right in the baylor area/ houston and as far as the op is concerned , she/he should have no problem finding a spot at least in primary care , not in a very prestigious place , but primary care at some place in the us is fair game . ( most ross grads match into primary care anyway ) . This is assuming all boards are passed . Multiple Transcripts/failing grades etc are a moot concern when applying for primary care .

I'm not gonna argue . This is the kind of person you are:

Phigsman03 -
"why don't you meet me off campus and I will show you who is going to cry like a girl." .

You are not even off the island and you are given misleading info / potentailly lying about your " contacts" ... whatever

Anxious but Honest at least

Yes, 3 times during testing, with sweaty palms, the whole anxiety bit, but practice tests (same online test) I scored 560....so......anyway, since a number of my classmates used copied tests with answers from the NBME site, I think it just blows. Just a vent.
