Hi Everyone,
I would really appreciate it if you guys who have taken the shelf exams at Ross, could tell me on average what scores do people usually get, even if you didnt know anything. Thanks
510 points Hi Everyone,

510 points Anyone take one and where at?
510 points I've heard from Dr. King that the averages are 65-75, and never heard of anyone getting below a 50. It's curved twice, once to the US average, and another to the Ross average, so it's highly unlikely to get below 55, even if you guess on every single question with a "B"
510 points
510 points According to a Tulane site the avg score is a 70 with a standard deviation of 8, so a 30 would be nearly impossible.

The lowest score I have ever heard of is a 47. The majority of Ross students score in the 60s or low 70s.
510 points I can only speak for my son that he never had a clinical shelf exam in his two years of Clinicals at Ross.
My US Medical school son hasshelf exams after every Core rotation so far. It counts for 25% of his grade but it also lets him see where he stacks up compered to average scores etc.
It would be impossible for Ross to do it as the exam is administerd by the school and not the Hospital. Ross is too decentralized to ever have Shelf exams.
When you become my age you will realize all of the hard work and studying was worth the effort.
"60 years young" another 60 to go if my doctor sons keep me alive with free prescriptions!!
510 points AUC students take the shelf and I would certainly call them "decentralized" as well. They have them at a few locations around the country like Wyckoff is one of them. St. George's students take their own version of a shelf.
Ross could give us the shelf if they really wanted to but for some reason we do not take them.
