Are there Squash courts + Working out?

I saw on the map that there were two tennis courts. Are there more now, or no, and are they almost always occupied? I'm not planning to spend my whole day playing tennis, I plan to be a serious studier. But I like to unwind a little by playing tennis, and Squash, are there Squash courts? Also, how are the workout facilities. Are they always packed? No? I'm pretty serious about working out, and I found that regular exercise also helps me study. Just wondering if you guys can put some input on how good the gym is, and etc. Any input helps, thanks!

No squash. Tennis courts tend to get busier after 5PM, when the weather cools down a bit. The demand for tennis courts has been increasing in the past couple of semesters as I remeber during 1st and 2nd, there always was an open court. The gym is...alright I guess for here. Nothing to brag about. Couple of treadmills and ellipticals and some free weights and machines downstairs. There are peak hours when you can't get anything, and that varies throughout the semester.

They are building a new gym but that will take a few more months. The one we have now has 4 treadmills, one working elliptical and a couple (literally 2-3) working bikes. Theres also floor space and a punching bag. The weights downstairs are ok. Its not much but enough to keep yourself occupied for for 1 hour .

This def is no a 24 Hour Fitness or Bally's, so disabuse yourself of any ideas like that. Its more like a really nice gym at a big hotel. Like was listed before, you have 4 or 5 treadmills, sometimes they are all taken up and at least one is broken at a time. There are also 3 stationary bikes that are usually always free and not broken. One stairstepper, again usually free and not broken. And finally 3 ellipticals, 2 of which are always broken and the other which is occupied and has people waiting. There are also floormats to do sit ups and so forth and a punching bag and jump rope.

Oh, and get used to not having machine weights. If you had a regimen before where you did machine weights, I'd suggest you look up how to do exercises with free weights and a bench. The weights go up from 10 lbs to 70 lbs or so. However, there is usually only one set for each weight so you might have to wait for others to get done.

As far as that new gym they are talking about: they told me that it'd be done by the end of the Fall semester but I honestly don't see that happening. There are two mystery buildings being built on campus as we speak and I think one of them is going to be the new student center/gym. However, they have just now finished laying the foundation. Its feasible that they put up the walls roof, plumbing, and utilities in 4 months, but I don't see that happening. Most likely sometime in mid Spring semester.
