Has anyone had problems with licensure yet. I know the offsite rotations in Chicago are illegal since the paperwork is filled out as if you rotated at JPH...but has anyone had any questions asked yet?

see my previous post on this topic. illegality is best determined by a lawyer, not by you, but I do know, as mentioned, that norwegian was a JPH residency rotation site, making it legal(at least when i was there). and yes, i have yet to hear of any of my classmates to have any issues at all about JPH for licensure.

If the offsite JPH rotations are questionable why take the chance of a medical board disqualifying you for licensure. Students doing their rotations should be made aware of the possible problem.

interesting that the OP origianlly posts saying that he knows people with problems with licensure because of JPH. then he asks if anyone has had problems with licensure because of JPH. when directly asked what stae was a problem, he never replied. I know dozens who i went to JPH with. none of them have had a single problem with lcensure.

I call foul.....i think he is a faker...i think he is bitter about soemthing at Ross. I demand that he tell us what state his "friends" had trouble with.

Jim, all you are doing is defending a loop hole. By definition, a loop hole is something that bypasses the law on a technicality. You don't even state, point blank, whether you think what Ross is doing is legal or illegal. The fact the program's legality is even debated should send up warning flags. Basically, you are saying its ok to do so long as no one is caught.

This speaks volumes about the dysfunctionality at Ross. Screwing students by giving them piss poor product for their money is one thing. But bypassing the law or not holding up to their end of the agreement is another. Ross should consider the words "Class Action Lawsuit" before continuing their disingenuous ways. I would love to see the legality of telling students they will graduate on time and will have no problems in clinicals only to have students miss their match, or be bumped from a rotation after having already signed a housing lease, or having to ask for forbearance after a student missed a match, or even having their licensure revoked from a state after they guaranteed us that we would be able to practice in "all 50 states". I wonder if that would be construed as false advertising? I wonder what would happen if all the students so adversely affected were to file a class action lawsuit as such. I am sure that would get the attention of the shareholders of DeVry to see their oh so precious money being taken from them.

I think that you are right, the only thing that will get Ross's attention is a lawsuit. Students should be reimbursed any money they lose due to unkept promises.
