When I approached some of my undergrad professors for a LoR, I received responses like, "Send me a .doc file, I'll print it on department letterhead and sign it."

While it insults the part of my mind that insists on strict obedience to a code, the fact that the party involved reads over the document, prints and signs it voluntarily indicates general compliance. I really wish I could have had the comment one professor made about me used, instead, "He's self-rising, like buckwheat." Man, they don't make compliments that good in LoRs.

Helicon: Those guys lied trying to reach the brass ring. I'm satisfied they fell and didn't get it; it would be shameful if they had.

ydobon - but what you had for your letters aren't fraudulent at all. The profs know they "wrote" it, and signed them accordingly.

when you click the Waive your right to see the letter, you are waiving the RIGHT to ask to see it- if the LoR writer LETS you see it- by giving you a copy or so forth, you aren't violating the waiver.
