January 2004 students for May 2004

I will be starting in May 2004 and have almost all my books. Can someone who is in their first semester tell me where you began in genetics, biochemistry, and embryology? Did you start right on page 1 and are you going to complete the entire book? I figure I can start reading and outlining now.

    ...

Picked up embryology maybe once or twice as well as genetics. Dr. Kalli's handouts have all the info you need as well as other professors handouts. Meisenberg's book is good to read since his lectures are pretty much the same as the book since he wrote it.

    The beginning

Yes, you start at the beginning of the book since medical subjects build upon themselves. For example your embryo book starts at the beginning of developement and progresses onward. Starting in the middle wouldn't make sense.

    dont do it!!!

just relax and enjoy your time left at home. You will have plenty of time to kill yourself once you get here.

this is gonna be the hardest thing you have ever done, hands down. don't rush it. Its a marathon my friend, and this race goes to the ones who can go the distance not to the fastest.

like i said just relax and clear your mind. enjoy time with friends and family, hit all your favorite restaurants, go to the movies, in short, have fun.

    take it from a 4th semester. 8)
